I hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend! It’s been a busy few weeks here so I’m behind on our little chats. I was in Boston last weekend to host my sister-in-law’s baby shower. It was an adorable bear themed brunch. Boston was COLD and snowy so I was definitely ready to get back to sunny, warm Charleston. However, it was a bit of a travel nightmare both ways. JetBlue changed my flight to Boston from 8am to 6am and then at the last minute changed my flight home from 1:50pm to 8pm. What is it with flying lately?
Anywho, the week seemed to be pretty busy with vet appointments, one kid had a dentist appt to have a couple baby teeth pulled that weren’t falling out on their own. We were invited to a cookout for a friend. Saturday morning we woke up to a bit of a flood in our downstairs bathroom so our Easter morning consisted of a plumber and water restoration company coming out. But we made the best of it and spent the rest of the day in the pool and cooking. It was a very different, very low key Easter this year but we all enjoyed it. Sometimes a good chill, do-nothing-day, is needed.

It was definitely a different Easter this year, all for good reason but still I am feeling guilty about not hosting for the first time ever. That includes no bunny cake. Easter is definitely not the same when parts of your heart are missing. At least I can say I didn’t have to have a visitor from a plumber or Restoration company just the Easter Bunny 😊
